Hot off the press

I'm taking the liberty, of presuming all you lovely people remember that I took some photographs, of some vintage china...

Dinah's China

If your looking for a Mad Hatters Tea Party, look no further.

Found in a charming little village, Nempnett Thrubwell, in the depths of Chew Valley (North Bristol). I ventured out to take some photographs of Dinah's delightful china. 

Dinah rents out this beautiful collection of china for weddings, tea party's or any other event that requires this wide range of delicate tea sets. Dinah originally collected her china for her daughters wedding and has since lent it to many satisfied customers! With her website in need of some new photographs (that's where I stepped in) it meant that I got the exciting opportunity to play with, set up and photograph these lovely tea cups!

Book Cover

I've been waiting to share these photos with you, partly because I like them and partly because I was waiting for more of a final product. So here's the story:

Not so long ago I was asked to shoot a photograph for a book cover by, Nigel Coles. So once I got given the brief, I scouted out the perfect location - a darling little cafe in Southampton. 

I then took along a friend to assist drinking the all the coffee I would have to purchase. - To set the scene.

Requested permission to photograph the coffee in the cafe and then got rather snap happy. Using my Bronica, Etrs medium format & my Nikon SLR. Here are some of my favourite results from my Bronica...

So friends, eagerly await the final book cover. I will be sharing it with you rather soon...

Last but not least my beloved housemates, course-mates and I on the opening night of the exhibition.... It was an amazing evening and week. It now feels like ages ago!

'Fragments Of A Captured Past' at Foto8 Gallery

Of course it is only fair for me to begin with an apology, because of my lack of posting in recent weeks. However this could come with a silver lining, resulting in a good number of highly over due posts to come. Depending on which way you look at it...

PART ONE: 

Firstly the most exciting of all news is that I have had my long awaited final show, initially the all important one in the beloved Southampton (where it got marked) and secondly in the famous London (just for fun because that's how we role!) 

As I've shared with you before, I'm sure you are more than aware of my final project: 'Guest House'. So without further ado I will show you some snaps I took on my phone (SORRY) of the installing and curating I was involved with, for our London Show at the fabulous Foto8 Gallery.
