Polaroid back on a 35mm Nikon SLR
I was fortunate enough to get given this beauty of a camera: A Polaroid back which has been fitted onto a 35mm Nikon SLR, and surprisingly enough, it does exactly what it says on the tin.
It produces a polaroid; the classic 600 size with the photograph the size of a 35mm negative. Originally these cameras were used as test shots, to double check exposure and composition on a shoot. Well naturally I found this exciting and just thought I'd share it with you. What's your most recent polaroid extravaganza?! x

Disposed-of
I'm not entirely sure what compelled me to go back to this scene, I haphazardly came across. Maybe I thought it was a perfect example of the disposable culture we live in; surrounded by it, yet completely ignorant of it until it's right in-front of us. Or maybe I just thought it was an ideal set for an image....

Capturing moments
Admittedly these are just snapshots (using my compact; the only camera I had at hand.) But I think it reveals my core creative influences as a photographer.... As someone who is inspired by the narrative dimension that photography can be so rich in. I am fascinated by the idea of capturing a moment in time; allowing the viewer to read into it as they wish.
A handful of Photographers/Artists who inspire me to create tableau photography:
- Hannah Starkey
- Edward Hopper
- Frances Kearney
- Gregory Crewdson
- Tim Walker
I'm sure this wont be the last you hear of them! Love E x
